Eminem’s Mom and Dad
Who is Eminem’s father?
the answer is Marshall Mathers Jr., Who abandoned his family when Eminem was a newborn, so Eminem never really knew his father.
So Eminem was raised by his mother, Deborah Mathers or Debbie, Eminem has many references for his mom in his raps because of the way she raised her.
Through his introductory rap song “My Name is” Eminem accused her of being a bigger drug addict than him and in return Debbie filed a lawsuit of $10 Million dollars.

However, the lawsuit was settled for just $25,000 US dollars, in 2001, out of which Debbie got only around $1600 and the rest was settled to Fred Gibson (Debbie’s former attorney), by the order of Judge Mark Switalski.
Eminem later dissed her again in 2002 with his another song “Without Me” – “I just settled all my lawsuits, fuck you, Debbie!”
Debbie published a book in the hope to show the world her side of the story in 2001. She claimed to never abuse her son, and that she always cared for his good only with the book she published for which the title goes like My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life As Eminem’s Mother

Early Life and Education
We got to know that Eminem’s mother was never capable of holding to one job for much longer than just a few months, so they have to move frequently between Missouri, Detroit, and Michigan, thus spending most of their time in public housing projects.
Eminem also added – “I would change schools two, three times a year” and “That was probably the roughest part about it all.”
This wandering life made a large impact on how he grew up and his personality. Wandering from school to school made him alone and no close friends and obviously was treated like an outcast in every school.
“Beat u Beat up in the bathroom, beat up in the hallways, shoved into lockers”
Eminem dropped out of 9th grade at age 17 when he continuously failed the 9th grade three times. Eminem, though being a poorer student in school, still had a deep empathy for language, comic books and also studying dictionaries.
He quoted: “I found that no matter how bad I was at school, like, and no matter how low my grades might have been at some times, I always was good at English … I just felt like I wanna be able to have all of these words at my disposal, in my vocabulary at all times whenever I need to pull ’em out. You know, somewhere, they’ll be stored, like, locked away.”

Ex-Wife and Daughter
Eminem also has a daughter, born in 1995, who has become an Instagram model now, Hailie Jade Scott. She graduated from with Psychology degree from Michigan State University.
Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Ann Scott dated very young, when he was just 15 and met 13 year old Kim Ann Scott. Kim has claimed that she was sexually abused by his stepfather so she cam to live with Eminem and his mother Debbie.
But Eminem and Kim were kicked out by Debbie when Eminem dropped out of the school. Thier relationship always had been unstable form the very start.
They both broke up and got back together frequently may times and also got married in 1999 before Eminem’s first major tour, sadly the marriage didn’t last for long and they go divorced in 2000.
Not jus this but they also remarried in 2006, by these various events we can see how on and off relationship Eminem had with his Ex-wife Kim Ann Scott.
They had an ugly public dispute after the divorce over their daughters custody, Hailie.
Eminem seems to love his daughter like every father, and we have seen him rapping about his daughter Hailie throughout the career.
For instance: In the song “Mockinbird” 2004, and his 2017 album Revival.
Rap Career
After dropping out of college Hip-hop gave Eminem a way to express his feelings, anger and frustration of life and youth, including his passion for language.
He first set his stage name as M&M, initials of his real name, Marshall Mathers, but later he began to write it as Eminem.
It was a time when rap music was exclusively produced by black people, when Eminem started to rap. He had pale white skin and bright blue eyes, and also entered in rap battles in Detroit, frequently competing with other rap artist.
These competitions were actually battles between two rap artists where one insulted the other with extemporize rap lyrics.
Eminem soon became Detroit’s underground rap artist, despite his white race and black exclusivity for producing rap. That is all because of his high skills at verbal sparring
He had pretty struggling life at this point, where he had to odd jobs and also do rap battles and altogether also attempt to land a label or a record contract with music producers.
This all led to the creation of his semi-autobiographical film, 8 Mile from 2002.
