Is where a group of researchers from the Planetary Society organisation claim to have discovered an old lake.

This Mars study, said, "We found that the Ladon Basin region, within Margaritifer Terra.
Records a Long History of Water
Flow that began relatively early in the history of Mars, 3.8bn years ago and continued until about 2.5bn years ago.
The Light-Toned Stratified
Sediments visible in the photos indicate relatively modest bed tilt angles and contain clays along a 200Km length.
This Is Proof That There
Was most likely a lake in this area of Mars. This region is a prerequisite for the production of that mineral.
