XXXTentacion or the real name Jahsed Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy known popularly for his singing and stage name XXXTentacion commonly referred to as a simple X sometimes.
Born on 23 January 1998 and died on 18 June 2018. XXXTentacion was a young American Rapper, singer, and also a songwriter.
He got quick fame because of his broadly famous legal trouble, XXXTentacion got a cult-type following among young people with his depression-themed music.
He was praised by critics and fans both for his versatility in music with his music exploring Trap, Lo-fi, Indie rock, Hip Hop, Punk Rock, R&B, and Emo.
XXXTentacion was born in Plantation, Florida, and had spent most of his childhood in Lauderhill. He started his music career on SoundCloud and started writing music after being released from a juvenile detention center in 2013.
He soon became a popular personality in SoundCloud rap alongside the members of the underground-collective members only, a trap music scene that takes elements of lo-fi music and hard 808s.

Early life
Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy was born to a Jamaican family, Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy as his father and Cleopatra Eretha Dreena Bernard, his mother. Both his father and grandfather were Rastafarians.
Rastafarians or also known as Rastafari is a Jamaican religion developed during the 1930s. Scholars of religion classified it as both a social movement and a new religious movement.
In an interview in 2017 on The Beat, XXXTentacion quoted that he also had Egyptian or Syrian, Indian, and probably Italian ancestry.
XXXTentacion was raised in Pompano Beach, Florida, and Lauderhill, Florida mainly by his grandmother Collette Jones due to some personal problems with his mother.
In an incident where a man attempted to attack XXXTentacions mother, he allegedly tried to stab the man and was put to a youth program before living with his grandmother, he was just six years old.
His father was also jailed for nine years in Arizona on RICO charges after a Sting operation organized by Drug Enforcement Administration. He was deported back to Jamaica in 2016.
His interest in music initially began when his aunt sent him to attend school choir and church choir, but he attacked another student in the school and was kicked out of school soon.
XXXTentacion had a series of physical altercations in schools, he attended Margate Middle School but was later expelled from there as well.
XXXTentacion started listening to nu-metal, hard rock, and rap which led him to learn to play the piano and guitar.
He was a misfit in schools, as he described himself. He also attended Piper High School and later dropped out in the tenth grade as he was regularly involved in physical disputes.
He confessed that he was not the athletic type in high school and was quite depressed and insecure in his high school time.
Personal life
XXXTentacion had two half siblings, an elder sister, Ariana and young brother, Aiden. Onfroy has lived with other artist in the past, he lived with Denzel Curry, another rapper and producer Ronny J in Florida.
Onfroy was reported to move in to 560 m2 mansion before his death in Parkland, Florida, which he bough for $1.4 Million Dollars in Novemeber 2017.
Onfroy was open and public about his struggles with depression and announced in March 2018 that he was preparing to return to school, a community college to get his GED.
Onfory was accused for domestic abuse by his ex-girlfreind Geneva Ayala, according to her statement, Onfroy beat her many times, choke her and broke clothes hangers by hitting on her legs. At time, threatened to cut off her hair or pull her tongue out.
The first incident of domestic violence happened when Ayala complimented a male friend on his new jewelry and insecure Onfroy broke her phone, Iphone 6s.
In January 2018, XXXTentacion got in to a relationship with Jenesis Sanchez and three days later Onfroy’s death, His mother declared on Instagram that Sanchez was pregnant with Onfroy’s child.
The baby is named Gekyume Onfroy, was confirmed to be a baby boy on 22 August 2018. Born on January 26, 2019, three days before his fathers 21st birthday.
Death
On18th June 2018, at 3:56 p.m, Onfroy was leaving Riva Motosports Motorcycle & Marine Superstore in Deerfield Beach, Florida, was blocked from getting out of the parking lot by a black SUV.
Two armed men exited the black Dodge Journey SUV and cornered the rapper while hea was sitting at the driver’s seat. The struggle started and the armed men got into his vehicle, stole a Lous Vuitton bag packed with $50,000 US Dollars and shot Onfroy many times.
The armed robbers fled the scene in the SUV and Onfroy was later transported to the nearby Broward Health North hospital by paramedics in Deerfield Beach, where he was declared dead.
Onfroy was declared dead at exactly 5:30 p.m by Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Two days later the shooting, suspect Dedrick Devonshay Williams of Pompano Beach was arrested.
He was held in the Broward County Jail and charged with first degree murder without premeditation. In following weeks of this incident, three people more were arrested for their involvement with the the incident including trigger man Michael Boatwright.
Onfroy names his mother Cleopatra and younger brother Aiden his sole beneficiaries of hi estate in his will. His future child was not named in the will as it was written before the pregnancy.
Exactly at 4:22 PM EDT in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, almost 26 minutes later the shooting of Onfroy, a fellow rapper Jimmy Wopo was also gunned down in a drive-by shooting.
Funeral
On 27th June 2018, an open casket service took place for Onfroy at the BB&T center in Florida, where fans were allowed to pay their respects to the artist.
A private funeral took place on 28 June 2018 where other rappers Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty and Erykah Badu were also among the attendees.
